Join us for a morning of friendly Canadian lawn games and summer vibes as we roll into some classic outdoor fun!

Try your hand at bocce ball and show off your aim in ladder ball.

No experience needed — bring your friends, family, and picnic blankets — it’s time to enjoy the sunshine!

Bocce Ball: A classic Italian lawn game where players take turns rolling heavy balls to get as close as possible to a small target ball called the pallino. It’s all about precision, strategy, and a bit of friendly rivalry!

Ladder Ball: A fun and quirky tossing game where players throw bolas (two balls connected by a rope) to hook them onto a ladder with three rungs — each rung scores different points. Easy to learn, hard to master, and tons of fun!

Itinerary:

10:30am: Meet at Jonathan Rogers Park (Vancouver)

After a round of introduction, we will provide brief rules and explanation for both bocce ball and ladder ball and allow everyone plenty of time to get familiar with these two games. We can then have a friendly tournament for some casual and fun individual and group competition.

Bring some picnic blankets as we will be sitting on the lawn to mingle and wait for our turns for the games!

Participants are also welcome to join the group for picnic lunch (bring your picnic food or get lunch in the area) and are responsible for their own lunch expenses.
